The Academy Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences (AJBAS) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published twice a year by the School of Applied and Engineering Sciences at the Libyan Academy for Postgraduate Studies. The journal publishes original research and studies in the basic and applied sciences and related fields, and may publish special issues, as part of its commitment to community service and the advancement of scientific research.

The journal upholds the highest standards of academic integrity and transparency. Its editorial and ethical policies are based on the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the Recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), and the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing (COPE/DOAJ/OASPA/WAME), in alignment with the requirements of the Directory of Libyan Scientific Journals (DOLJ).

Objectives of the Journal:

  • To publish scientific research and studies of high scientific value in the basic and applied sciences.
  • To serve as an important scientific reference for researchers and faculty members through its various issues.
  • To enhance the discoverability of Libyan scientific output and link it to international databases and identifiers.
