About the Journal

The Academy Journal of Human and Social Sciences is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal published biannually by the Libyan Academy for Postgraduate Studies, an academic research institution affiliated with the Ministry of Higher Education in Libya. The journal focuses on publishing theoretical and field research studies in Arabic, as well as in English and French, within the fields of human and social sciences.

The areas suitable for publication in the journal include: sociology, social work, law, information science, library and archival science, psychology, educational sciences, geography, history, philosophy and Islamic studies, political science, administrative sciences, and English and French literature. Additionally, it publishes distinguished thesis and dissertation presentations approved by the Academy.

The journal has reviewers from various academic sectors and related fields, and submissions are evaluated by specialized Libyan and Arab reviewers. The review process employs a double-blind method, ensuring that neither the reviewer knows the identity of the author nor the author knows the identity of the reviewer, thus guaranteeing the highest degree of impartiality and credibility.
