Methods and Means of Qur’an Memorization in Kano City, Nigeria

This research, entitled: (Ways to memorize the Holy Quran and its means in the city of Kano Nigeria) aims to study the methods used to memorize the Qur’an in the past and modern in the city of Kano Nigeria.
In his research, the researcher was limited to the city of Kano, for the aim of reviving the old vestibular schools that contributed to the formation of a good person.
Research objectives: This research seeks to achieve the following goals:
Advance the institutions of the Noble Qur’an, develop their methods of management, study the problems and obstacles of teaching the Qur’an, and methods of treatment.
Encouraging Muslims to memorize the Holy Quran and study its sciences in easy ways.
Show the successful experiences of Qur'anic institutions in memorizing the Qur’an in the city of Kano.
It also aims to harness the technology of information and modern technological development in the service of the Holy Qur’an and its sciences.
Research curriculum:
The researcher pursued in this study the descriptive analytical approach because it depends on describing the issue, and then the researcher analyzes it through the Qur'anic schools chosen in the city of Kano.
Then the historical approach at the history of some Qur'anic schools, and the researcher will use personal interviews to collect the necessary information with the field study of selected schools.
The research contains the following elements:
- Introducing the city of Kano.
- The reality of Qur'anic schools in the city of Kano.
- Some Qur'anic schools in the city of Kano.
- Memorization and methods of memorization and writing in the Katateeb.
- Ways and means of memorization and teaching writing in modern Qur'anic schools.
This research produced many results summarized in the following:
- The researcher concluded that there is a relationship and a bird between Qur'anic schools and modern Qur'anic schools.
- The researcher concluded that the curriculum of teaching letters in the Katateeb is completely different from the approach to teaching letters in modern Qur'anic schools.
- It was also evident that the Qur'anic schools are the origins and origins of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and then flourished in the era of the Emir of the Faithful Omar bin Al -Khattab, may God be pleased with him, while the emergence of modern Qur'anic schools in Kano returns to the year 1980 AD corresponding to 1401 AH.
- It is summarized by the research that both schools and the modern Qur'anic school are one goal in teaching the Holy Quran.
The researcher was able to be known as some schools and modern Qur'anic schools with the positives and negatives of each of them.
