Abstract

 This study aims to identify the reality of using social networking sites in educating the deaf and hard of hearing. The study used the descriptive analytical approach. The study also used a questionnaire to collect data and information, with a sample of (100) deaf and hard of hearing students who frequent the Al Amal Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. In Zawya, the study also used a number of statistical methods to achieve its goals, including the arithmetic mean, standard deviation, percentage, relative weight, Pearson correlation coefficient, Alpha-Cronbach reliability coefficient, split-half method reliability coefficient, and the t-test. The results of this study resulted in a consensus. It is important for the individuals of the study sample to cover the questionnaire paragraphs, which aim to identify the reality of the use of social networking sites by the deaf and hard of hearing and the extent of their use in the educational aspect. If this indicates anything, it indicates the presence of a high level of use of social networking sites by the deaf and hard of hearing and their use of them in Learning and receiving information. The results of this study also indicated that there were statistically significant differences in the level of responses of the study sample members, which were attributed to the gender variable (males/females) in favor of males.
