Abstract:
National human rights institutions are considered a human rights revolution in the field of defending human rights and promoting freedoms. To ensure that this revolution is on the right track, it is necessary to monitor these rights by activating the role of these human rights institutions to serve as a safety valve against any violations that may be committed against individuals by any party within the state.
In addition to these institutions operating in partnership with state authorities while maintaining their independence, they serve as advisory bodies on human rights and monitor any violations of human rights within the state. Libya has adopted this approach by establishing the National Council for Civil Liberties and Human Rights after 2011, entrusting it with the pivotal role of defending human rights and freedoms
Key Words: Human rights, National Council for Civil Liberties and Human Rights, National institutions, Public authorities, Libyan state.
