Approaches to Change Management in Secondary Education Institutions in the Tripoli Central Municipality As Perceived by School Principals and Their Assistants

Abstract

The aim of the research is to identify the degree of use of change approaches in educational institutions at the secondary education stage by secondary school principals and their assistants in the Tripoli Central Municipality according to (areas of change, events of change, and methods of change) by using the descriptive approach using a comprehensive survey method. The sample included all secondary school principals and their assistants in the Tripoli Central Municipality in the State of Libya, numbering (36), including (18) principals and (18) assistants, distributed over (18) secondary schools in the municipality. The research reached the following most important results:

The degree of use of change approaches according to areas of change, introducing change, and methods of change among school principals and their assistants in secondary educational institutions in the Tripoli Central Municipality is considered high.

The research also recommended the necessity of making serious efforts to provide spatial, material, technical, and technological facilities that help in preparing for the change process, implementing it, and investing in appropriate conditions and situations to introduce change in educational institutions at the secondary education stage
