Abstract

During the 1970s, Libya witnessed remarkable attention from the Austrian travelers, and this Austrian interest came in a very laugh, compared to the rest of the European countries, that this interest and at that time specifically suggests that Austria was heading towards Libya as a strategic point that serves its interests in Africa. The Austrian exploratory trips covered most parts of the country, which enabled them to record their observations about the geography of Libya and its residents, and its political and social conditions.
