Abstract
Abstract:
This study examines the impact of perspective and visual composition on cinematic scene design and the construction of visual meaning. The research addresses the issue of reducing visual construction elements to mere decorative aesthetic features, whereas, in essence, they constitute a semiotic language that shapes meaning and directs the viewer's psychological perception. Employing a descriptive-analytical approach, the study deconstructs the visual composition of the cinematic frame. It concludes that perspective vanishing lines and compositional rules—such as the rule of thirds, asymmetrical balance, and internal framing—transform the two-dimensional space into a three-dimensional, meaningful environment that heightens dramatic tension and reflects the characters' psychological states. The study recommends integrating visual and geometric principles into film criticism and production to deepen the understanding of visual storytelling.
Keywords: Cinematic perspective, visual composition, visual meaning.
