Abstract
This research aims to exploit and benefit from olive waste (olive pomace) as a natural source for developing sustainable materials for interior furniture, by integrating it with epoxy as a binding agent to produce polymeric composites that combine the aesthetics of wood with the durability of polymers.
The researcher adopted the descriptive analytical and experimental approach, where a practical experiment was conducted to produce composite panels from olive pomace and epoxy through the stages of cleaning, drying, mixing, pouring, and curing. The experiment proved successful in producing cohesive and solid panels with a smooth surface, distinctive visual aesthetics, and good moisture resistance.
The researcher concluded that olive waste complies with the standards of sustainable materials and can be employed in various interior applications such as tables, partition walls, and wall coverings, which contributes to reducing environmental impact and supports the circular economy
