Abstract:
This study aims to identify the psychological effects of electronic media on young people, focusing on the various aspects of how the use of digital platforms affects their psychological state and social behavior. The study adopted a descriptive-analytical approach and used an electronic questionnaire distributed to a sample of 55 individuals from various university levels. The results showed that the majority of participants experienced an increased fear of missing out when consuming digital content, in addition to a noticeable decline in real-life social interactions. The study also showed that excessive use of electronic media is linked to the emergence of signs of digital addiction, along with accompanying psychological effects such as anxiety, stress, isolation, and loss of concentration. The results highlight the need to develop awareness and psychological support programs for youth, with the aim of mitigating the negative effects and promoting positive use of electronic media.
