The Contrast element in art work, whether in photography or in the visual art printing, especially the print painting. In the photograph, contrast refers to the placement of subjects in the frame within the frame, and in contrast, in the visual art painting, it refers within a compositional frame. It also refers to the way in which the image is composed, which helps the viewer to see the world from a new perspective, where he notices the movement and harmony of the masses and the manipulation of shadow and light in geometric and structural formations in the form and masses and simplification of the elements and reliance on sense and taste and analysis of their forms in nature and rebuilding them in a new way, gives the neglected elements an artistic form with the homogeneity of their contents and harmony with the contrast of their colors, to express themselves, because they express artistic values ​​more than words and phrases describe, this is the goal of art. The element of contrast is considered one of the very important elements and is indispensable in the artistic work, whether in the photographic work or design or graphic printing, and it is an element that highlights the difference in the design elements and makes the design eye-catching in form and content. The aesthetics of contrast are an essential element in creating an effective visual composition. Therefore, the element of contrast enables visual artists, photographers and designers to direct the viewer’s attention, arouse his emotions and add depth and dimension to their work to achieve the expressive power of the artwork. Therefore, the contrast of the photograph by Shadi Abdel Salam not only makes the image more interesting, but also a source of inspiration for creating a print.
