ABSTRACT
Human societies have witnessed armed conflicts, conflicts and wars that resulted in many violent events. And this behavior varied in its intensity and prevalence, as it became a pattern of interaction patterns that are not limited to certain groups in society, but rather reveal the nature of the social structure. Armed conflict is one of the most destructive social phenomena for societies in the contemporary world, as Arab societies are currently suffering from armed conflicts of a civil nature, which have resulted in harmful effects on the social, demographic, economic, health, environmental and political levels. The first to pay the price of this conflict in society is the family, as it launched many indiscriminate attacks that led to the loss of control and the weakness of society’s institutions, injuring hundreds of civilians and causing destruction to buildings and infrastructure, including schools, hospitals, homes, mosques, shops, farms, power stations, airports, roads, and facilities oil storage. From this point of view, armed conflicts are a severe blow to society, and to all aspects of life, and with the exacerbation of armed conflicts and the proliferation of weapons, families are exposed to practices that violate their security and social, psychological and economic stability, such as kidnappings, extortion, ransom demands, and burdening the family with material burdens that it has no ability to bear.
