Abstract:
Light constitutes the basic element for achieving the optical image, and the artistic form of the image depends on the extent to which light is used to express the subject. For the optical image to be achieved, it must affect both the practical and artistic sides of light. This requires a balance between technical knowledge of light and artistic creativity to create a visually appealing image that effectively conveys the intended message or emotion. Achieving this balance is essential for producing high-quality optical images that resonate with viewers.
On this basis, an artistic image is produced that fulfills all scientific foundations, and the importance of light lies in the only means by which the director of photography can eliminate the process of deletion through shadows and focus on the main subject through light, and that the lighting be distributed proportionately so that no part is missing or In addition, through lighting, the artistic and dramatic goals of the subject are achieved, and the general atmosphere and psychological states that the characters are going through are depicted.
Emphasizing the sense of place and time and constructing the light sentence of the event by distributing lighting on the subject is the basis of the aesthetic and expressiveness of the film. By carefully manipulating light, the director of photography can enhance the mood and tone of the scene, creating a visually captivating experience for the audience. Additionally, proper lighting can also help to establish the setting and period of the film, further immersing viewers in the story being told.
