Abstract ;
This research aims to explore one of the most important traditional industries in Libya, centered in the city of Tripoli, namely the saddlery industry. Throughout history, the saddle has been a symbol of chivalry, masculinity, and beauty. Its manufacture has been specialized by a number of craftsmen known as "al-Sarrajah". The importance of this research lies in shedding light on how saddle makers decorate, ornament, and engrave saddles by hand using threads, wires, and gold, silver, and copper sheets, which increases the saddle's aesthetic and functional value. They also take care to choose colors that add luxury and sophistication, and all these values multiply its material and artistic value. The research relied on the descriptive and historical approach.
