This research addresses the issue of public funding as a vital role in supporting and promoting contemporary sculpture in Libya, a country with a rich history in this type of art, and addresses the challenges that Libyan sculptors and artists face on the material and spiritual levels in developing and promoting their work locally and globally. It aims to reveal how public finance addresses these issues by providing grants and financial support for necessary materials, tools and equipment.

By enabling Libyan artists to benefit from government institutions and cultural organizations, public funding reduces their tendency to migrate abroad and encourages them to contribute to rebuilding the nation. The role of public funding is crucial in promoting the development of contemporary Libyan sculpture and preserving its artistic traditions.

Furthermore, public funding supports the organization and promotion of art exhibitions, festivals and cultural events showcasing contemporary sculpture. These platforms allow Libyan artists to interact with audiences, enhance communication and exchange ideas. This increases awareness and appreciation for contemporary sculpture, both in Libya and abroad.

In conclusion, the researcher recommends the need to direct public funding to support the sculpture arts sector as it is a ray of hope for contemporary sculpture in Libya. It supports creativity and innovation among Libyan artists, preserves cultural identity, and enhances communication between artists and the public. By occupying a niche in the local and international art scene, contemporary Libyan sculpture can flourish and contribute to the nation's cultural landscape.
