Research summary:
The artistic expression of the child is a window through which wecan glimpse into their inner world, and understanding it helps us understand their feelings, thoughts, and motivations. Through the drawings and artworks, they produce, the child expresses their self and their vision of the world, embodying their life experiences and relationships with those around them.
This artistic expression represents an evolutionary journey that begins with simple lines and shapes in early childhood, becoming more complex and abstract as the child grows older.
The surrounding environment also plays an important role in shaping this expression, as the child translates what they see, hear, and experience in their daily life into their artistic works. The social interactions and family relationships also influence the themes the child chooses to represent. The child's motivations for artistic expression vary, from the need to express their feelings and desires, to the desire for communication, recognition, and exploration.
This study aims to explore the meanings carried by children's artistic expressions, uncover the motivations behind this creative expression, and understand the stages of its development, using a descriptive analytical approach, by gathering information from scientific references and academic studies.
