Abstract:

This research aims to study the influence of the environment on the Libyan artist and its reflection on his artistic works. The research is based on a study of paintings by some contemporary Libyan artists, such as Ali al-Abani, Fawzi al-Suwayyi, and Salah Ghayth.The research utilized a descriptive-analytical approach, and data was collected through reviewing previous literature and examining cases of artists from different environments and periods. This data was analyzed using qualitative analysis methods to extract patterns and relationships between the environment and artistic production.The research showed the existence of a close relationship between the Libyan artist and his environment. The artist relies on natural environmental elements to shape his artistic vision, and his works reflect Libyan social culture, his personal experiences, interests, and feelings towards his surroundings.The research concludes that the environment is a source of inspiration for the artist, influencing his vision and thinking, and becoming an integral part of the beauty that arises through artistic creation. Artistic studies act as a beacon that reflects the creativity and beauty that the culturally rich and artistic Libyan environment produces.
