Abstract

Research Summary:

Due to the importance of the lyrical and cultural heritage that links the past to the present in every region or city in the world, through which we learn about the customs and traditions of our ancestors, and due to our keenness to preserve this lyrical heritage of the traditional children's song in Libya, we wrote this modest research, which we hope will be the beginning of other studies in which we address topics related to our musical and lyrical heritage, distinguished by its melodies, rhythms and poems, and considering the traditional children's songs that were used and some of their sections adapted to be in line with the educational, educational and entertainment process in society as one of the most important aspects of heritage, the contents of the purposes of their texts reflect the scene of the life of Libyan society influenced by the different stages of development, and the traditional children's songs have reached us generation after generation, based on hearing and oral narration for more than hundreds of years and their origins go back to a long period of time influenced by foreign cultures over time, the last of which was Turkish and Italian colonialism, and these traditional songs were at a high degree of accuracy and creativity in dealing with the popular word and melody The rhythmic movement in its composition helped in its easy memorization and repetition among children, and its valves still exist to this day.
