Abstract:
This study explores the integrated relationship between interior space design and ecological art to enhance environmental sustainability by incorporating this artistic approach into interior design practices. The objective is to achieve a balance between aesthetics and functionality, improve human well-being, and mitigate the negative environmental impact of human activities.
Ecological art serves as an innovative approach that reflects the reciprocal relationship between humans and the environment. This approach emphasizes the necessity of adopting sustainability-based design strategies and utilizing environmentally friendly technical materials, such as incorporating natural plants, relying on natural lighting to reduce energy consumption, and improving indoor air quality. Additionally, it promotes the integration of green walls and water features into designs to create healthier and more psychologically comfortable spaces.
The study examines the role of ecological art in promoting environmental sustainability within interior design by effectively integrating natural and sustainable elements. It addresses challenges related to the underutilization of surrounding environmental resources and the inadequate incorporation of natural elements in design processes. Furthermore, it seeks to bridge the gap in implementing design solutions that harmonize aesthetic, functional, and environmental aspects. Through an analytical approach, the research investigates how ecological art can be incorporated into contemporary interior design based on the principles of sustainability. The findings aim to raise awareness among designers and users regarding the significance of sustainability, ultimately contributing to the creation of sustainable interior environments that cater to both present and future generations.
